Happenings In Tampa Bay

Then look no further than the Tampa Theatre. The Tampa Theatre is rich in history and photos. You get a sense of how things were back in the early 1900’s. Built in 1926 as one of the America’s most elaborate “movie places”, the Tampa Theatre is Named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The “David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts accessible at www.tbpac.org located off Maclnnes Place in Tampa, opened its doors in July, 1987 and in the last 20 years has entertained over 10 million guests! Located right downtown along the picturesque site along the east bank of the Hillsborough River. As the largest performing arts complex south of the Kennedy Center with 335,000 square-feet the Center provides an environment for a wide variety of world-class events. Its boasts one of the nations leading Broadway series and is nationally respected for producing grand opera.     
                                                     
The St. Pete Times Forum opened in 1996 as the Ice Palace. The arena was built as a new home for the Lightning to replace Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, which was then known as the Thunderdome. Upon the completion of the Ice Palace, both the Lightning and the Tampa Bay Storm, also a tenant of the Thunderdome, moved in and have made it their home since then. Don’t be so quick to get home without experiencing some of the wonderful restaurants we have to offer in and around the area and World Renown Restaurants such as; the Argentine Steakhouse by Latin America Grill. There is World Reknowned Bern’s Steak House that is known with one of the world’s largest wine collections in the world.
